These Terms & Conditions apply when you book a consultation or other paid service with Flight Deck Mentor.
 

Flight Deck Mentor is operated by Kieran Montefiore.

By making a booking, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
 

1. The service

Flight Deck Mentor provides independent information, guidance and mentoring relating to pilot training and aviation careers.

A standard Parent & Aspiring Pilot Consultation is a 45-minute online consultation, normally conducted using Zoom.

The subjects discussed will depend on your circumstances and may include training routes, flight schools, training costs, medical and entry requirements, and aviation career options.

2. Independent guidance

Flight Deck Mentor is independent and is not affiliated with any airline, flight school or training provider.

Flight Deck Mentor does not receive commission or referral fees for recommending particular training providers.

Information and opinions provided during consultations are intended to help you make informed decisions. They do not constitute a guarantee of admission to a training course, successful completion of training, employment with an airline or any other particular outcome.

3. Official information

Aviation regulations, medical requirements, training programmes, airline recruitment requirements, costs and employment conditions can change.

Although reasonable care is taken to provide accurate and useful information, you should verify important requirements with the relevant official organisation, regulator, airline or approved training provider before making significant financial or career decisions.

4. Bookings and payment

The price of the service will be displayed before you complete your booking.

Payment is required online when booking unless otherwise stated.

Your booking is confirmed when you receive confirmation from Flight Deck Mentor or its booking provider.

5. Rescheduling

You may reschedule your consultation through the booking system up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time, subject to availability.

If you need to make a change within 24 hours, please contact Flight Deck Mentor. Changes within this period cannot be guaranteed.

6. Cancellations and refunds

If you wish to cancel a consultation, please contact Flight Deck Mentor as soon as possible.

Where you have a statutory right to cancel, nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects that right.

Where no statutory cancellation right applies, any cancellation charge or amount retained will be reasonable and will reflect the circumstances of the cancellation and any loss actually incurred by Flight Deck Mentor.

If Flight Deck Mentor has to cancel your consultation, you will be offered a reasonable alternative date or a refund of the amount paid.

7. Late arrival and missed appointments

If you join late, the consultation may still need to finish at the originally scheduled time.

If you do not attend your consultation, please contact Flight Deck Mentor. Any rescheduling or refund will be considered taking into account the circumstances and any loss incurred.

8. Online consultations

You are responsible for having a suitable internet connection and a device capable of joining the online meeting.

If technical problems prevent the consultation from taking place, Flight Deck Mentor will make reasonable efforts to rearrange the session where appropriate.

9. Under-18s

Flight Deck Mentor may provide guidance to aspiring pilots who are under 18.

Where the aspiring pilot is under 18, the booking should be made by, or with the involvement of, their parent or legal guardian. A parent or legal guardian may also attend the consultation.

10. Limitation of the service

Flight Deck Mentor provides mentoring and general aviation-career guidance. It does not provide flight instruction, medical certification, legal advice, regulated financial advice or guarantees regarding employment or training outcomes.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, or affects your statutory consumer rights.

11. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with the Flight Deck Mentor Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. The version applying to your booking will be the version in effect when the booking is made.
